Inspired by the talk given by President Russell M. nelson in the October 2020 General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, entitled “Let God Prevail”. President Nelson offered one definition of the Hebrew word Israel = Let God Prevail. This bowl symbolizes the gathering of the twelve sons of Jacob–the twelve tribes of Israel. Scriptural passages taken from Doctrine and Covenants 50:44, 1 Nephi 17:40, Deuteronomy 11:1, Isaiah 54:7 help us to remember the great mercy of God and his plan for his children. The red dot in the middle of the “O” of the word rock, is symbolic of Christ’s sacrifice. And lastly, the four words, Repent, Remember, Reveal, Return invite us to be anxiously engaged in the cause of Zion. At the top of the bowl is the all seeing eye of God and at the bottom is the Hebrew characters for Israel. Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, symbols of Christ, flank either side of the bowl. The double squares separating each of the sons of Jacob is the seal of Melchizedek. The dimensions for this bowl are 9 1/2″-10″ by 2 1/2″- 3″ deep. It is dishwasher, microwave and oven-safe.
